The heart of these remarkable robotic welding cells lies in the Panasonic TAWERS Zi Tech Super Active Wire Process Welding Technology.

This advanced technology is poised to revolutionize CRH-Africa’s welding processes. The new welding torch and the Super-Active TAWERS process significantly enhance the welding quality while nearly eliminating spattering during the MIG/MAG welding process.

One standout feature of these cells is the air-cooled torch unit, meticulously designed for high performance. This design choice ensures the welding process remains stable under demanding conditions, contributing to consistent, top-tier welds.

Panasonic’s robots were carefully chosen for their ability to handle short welds with curved surfaces. Their predictable repeatability eliminates the need for continuous shifts and changes in the welding process, streamlining production and ensuring the highest levels of precision.

The reciprocating wire feeder is an integral part of these robotic welding cells. This enhancement significantly increases short circuit cycles by utilizing a wire feed servo motor directly connected to the feed rollers, ensuring optimal wire transportation. The result is an improvement in the weld pool, achieved by widening the arc and enabling periodic and proactive de-gassing of the zinc layer. This ground-breaking innovation substantially reduces spatter and porosity, thus contributing to a more robust final product.

Moreover, the welding jigs are designed with maintenance in mind.

Equipped with quick lock pin locators, they facilitate easy disconnect and reconnection of the jigs. This feature enhances efficiency and minimizes downtime, keeping production lines running smoothly.
